Market signals are our own judgment from late 2026 research of new app listings. They describe other apps, go out of date, and are not a promise of what you will earn. Most new apps earn little.Source: Our own research of app listings and product pages, Oct to Nov 2026
What it is
A focused reader for one devotional text or tradition, with verses, meanings, audio and a daily reading. It is for devotees who want a respectful, well-made app for a text that big apps do not cover.
Why it looks interesting
The evidence is thin, with one recent app for a Tamil devotional text in the research, but it suggests committed communities will pay for careful work. India has many such traditions, each with its own devoted following.
How it makes money
A small one-time unlock or voluntary support, with core reading free.

Watch out
Get community scholars to review text and meanings, because errors will be noticed and resented. Translations and recordings may be protected, so check the rights for each one.
