What it is
A simple tree where families add relatives, photos and stories, and invite others to fill in what they know. It is for people who want to save family history while older relatives can still tell it.
Why it looks interesting
A small group of new family tree apps shows moderate interest, and the emotional value is strong. Families often pass it around, which helps it spread without paid marketing.
How it makes money
A one-time unlock or a yearly subscription for large trees and book exports, with a free small tree.

Watch out
Family data includes living people, so get consent, limit what others can see and allow deletion. Avoid ancestry or ethnicity claims from photos, which are unreliable and can mislead.
